Glass Map Making Workshop

Make your own glass map of the Scottish Borders using the historical map collection at the National Library of Scotland as a starting point.  You will learn basic glass making techniques such as etching and engraving to build up a multi-layered glass map. No previous experience required. More

Cultural Forum

The November Gathering of the Scottish Borders Cultural Forum will link with the Mapping the Borders exhibition which is part of a series of events taking place in the Scottish Borders as part of the Being Human Festival 2017. The Gathering will begin with some short presentations including an update on Creative Coathanger, Energise Galashiels and the recent BID to the Scottish Government. More

On Sunday 19th of November 2017, a day of activity will take place in the Borders town of Jedburgh. The workshop will explore notions of ‘border’ through drawing and writing, bringing together subjective experiences of landscape linked with perceptions, associations and sensory responses as well as historical and cultural ones.
