Mapping the Borders: Pecha Kucha

An additional event is taking place at our partnership venue MacArts, with an afternoon of Pecha Kucha Vol5, in partnership with CABN, are talks by the exhibiting artists and with additional talks by the map curator from the National Library of Scotland and Prof Mike Collier from University of Sunderland and Prof Ysanne Holt from Northumbria University. These talks about the ‘debatable lands’, its contested history, through art works that explore the notion of ‘border’.
Mapping The Borders is part of the Being Human Festival 2017. Being Human is led by the University of London School of Advanced Studies, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the British Academy. Mapping the Borders will be a partnership between the University of Sunderland, Northumbria University, the National Library of Scotland and CABN, Live Borders.
